Our representative will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the International Airport, where the helicopter awaits. After approximately an hour of flight time, the helicopter will land at Lukla for refueling before continuing the exciting aerial tour of the Khumbu region.

 

During the helicopter ride, you will enjoy comfortable, forward-facing seats that offer unparalleled views of the world's tallest peaks. Trip Itinerary

Day 01-0530-0630-AM: Transfer to the domestic terminal of the International Airport in Kathmandu.

Our Everest helicopter tour departs from the International Airport in Kathmandu. We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and drive you to the airport's domestic terminal to begin the tour.

Day 01-0630-0700-AM: Preparation and processing to take your scheduled helicopter flight to EBC with a landing.

During check-in for your flight to Lukla, your guide will be on hand to assist you with the process and any luggage you may have. It's important to remember to bring your passport and tickets with you to the airport. Once you have checked in, an airport officer will verify your documents and ticket before you are ready to board your flight.

Day 01-0700-0800-AM: Fly to Lukla (2,845 meters)

Once you have completed your airport formalities, you will board your flight to Lukla. As you take off, you will be greeted by breathtaking views of green hills and picturesque villages, including Dolakha and Jiri. During the helicopter ride, you will soar over the Lamjura-La Pass (3,550 m), which is surrounded by lush rhododendron forests. After approximately 45 minutes, you will arrive in Lukla, which sits at an elevation of 2,820 meters above sea level. The town is renowned for its small airport, which features one of the shortest runways in the world. As you land in Lukla, you will be treated to stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range.

Day 01-0800-0815-AM: Flight Refueling

During your visit to the hotel, you will be treated to a hearty breakfast that will provide you with plenty of energy for the rest of your adventure. Day 01-0930-1000-AM: Fly to Lukla and Refuel

Once you've finished your delicious breakfast at the Everest View Hotel, you'll board the helicopter for the return flight to Lukla. Along the way, you'll be treated to more breathtaking views of the Himalayas, and you'll have the chance to appreciate their beauty from a unique perspective.

Upon arriving in Lukla, the helicopter will land for 15 minutes to refuel, and then you'll continue on your journey back to Kathmandu. As you fly, you'll be able to reflect on the incredible experience you've just had, and you'll undoubtedly feel inspired by the majesty of the Himalayas.

Day 01-10-11-AM: Fly back to Kathmandu

Before concluding your journey and returning to Kathmandu, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a bird's-eye view of several beautiful locations in the Everest region. From high above, you'll be able to appreciate the incredible diversity of landscapes in the region, including lush forests, rugged mountains, and quaint villages.

At the same time, the weight limit from Lukla to Kala Patthar/ base camp is 250 kg. So, we have to run two shuttle flights from Lukla by spitting a body weight of 250 kg on average.

How high can we fly the helicopter around Everest?
The summit of Mt. Everest lies at 8,848 meters above sea level. Several factors limit the ability to fly the helicopter around Everest, such as sub-freezing temperatures, hurricane-force winds, and air pressure. Besides, the air is too thin at such a high altitude, so most helicopters couldn’t generate enough lift to remain airborne.

So during the Everest Base Camp Helicopter ride, we will fly around 5,000 meters to 5,500 meters high. But please note that the flying height of the helicopter will depend on engine ability too.
