The festival is held in April or May, coinciding with the transition from the dry season to the monsoon rains. The festival, which the monks of the Sakyapa sect organized, represents spiritual fervor and cultural resiliency while showcasing Nepal's rich cultural heritage and close ties between its people and the environment.

We then embark on a second ascent, reaching a pass at 3,900m before starting a gentle downhill descent. Although the initial descent is steep, we eventually reach the village of "Hidden" Tangye (3320m).

Day 16: Tanggye to Chhuksang (8hrs).

This is the longest and most beautiful day of the circuit! The stage is long due to the need to search for water along the way.
